Find a public SteamID64

From a Steam Community profile

1. Open the Steam Community profile in a browser.
2. If its URL looks like steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198000000000, copy the 17-digit number after /profiles/.
3. Return to the lookup page and paste that number.

From the Steam desktop client

1. Open the profile, then open or copy its Community profile URL.
2. Use the numeric SteamID64 when it is available in the URL.

A public-profile lookup never needs a Steam password, Steam Guard code, recovery code, session cookie, trade confirmation, or payment information.
